Bonnie McKee’s EP Bombastic just dropped and it’s a Pop masterclass.

Definitely playing this one on our way to Mel’s Drive-In next time we’re strolling along the strip. You probably remember Bonnie McKee’s summer anthem “American Girl”. She’s a bit of a mastermind when it comes to writing perfect party and feel good songs, not just for herself but for a wealth of other artists. With many hits under her belt for Katy Perry, Ke$ha + more, it’s very exciting to see the singer release her EP today after all this wait. Bonnie shows a more alternative 80’s LA rock side to her vocals, and with her cool California girl look it’s easy to believe you’re in a time machine back at the Rainbow Room.

Bonnie McKee has some serious vocal chops and is always proving herself to many doubters in the industry that some pop girls can actually sing and blow your mind whilst at it. Lyrically, the EP is filled with stories that are heavy on pop culture and the fantasy world of the Hollywood Hills elite.

‘I Want It All’ has that raw and sexy production sound & vocal which might get you pumped for a night of trouble making. Meanwhile, ‘Wasted Youth’ has a dreamy “Teenage Dream” feel that’ll take you back to those days on the football field with your high-school sweetheart.’Easy’ makes you feel warm and tropical with its Lionel Richie meets Cindi Lauper influence. Title track ‘Bombastic’ puts you in battle mode for an energetic workout as seen in her music video. We definitely recommend checking THAT one out

Bonnie McKee has knocked her EP out of the park by adding her own rock ‘n’ roll twist to the currently trending 80’s production on her solid Pop EP.
